The Animal Rescue Alliance [TARA]
The Animal Rescue Alliance is a non-profit 501c3, all volunteer group dedicated to helping homeless pets in the Greater Kansas City area. Our organization is the result of an alliance between several rescuers in the Kansas City region who share the same goal of ending animal suffering and homelessness. In addition to rescuing pets from difficult situations, we offer courtesy listings in PetFinder, facilitate low-cost spays and neuters, work on transfers and transports with existing rescue groups, help individuals and organizations promote, screen and educate potential adopters, fundraise to help pets with special needs, offer guidance and information about animal rescue, organize events and more.
